Steam Curl

Extreme macro tight shot of steam rising from a hot drink — tighter and more abstracted than tea-steam (which shows the cup). This shot may crop entirely into the steam column, with the cup absent or merely implied at the bottom edge. Background is dark or near-black. Warm back-light or strong side-light picks out the steam column against the dark ground, making the vapour glow softly. The steam is the entire subject: its curl, its branching, its dissipation. Contemplative, abstract, zen. The only motion is the steam. Not smoke from cigarettes, incense, or industrial sources — food/drink steam only.
